ZZ Top Biography and History
Formed in Houston in 1969, ZZ Top built a distinctive sound from blues, boogie and hard-edged Texas rock. The band's signature image—long beards, sunglasses and flamboyant guitars—became as recognizable as its music. Billy Gibbons and Frank Beard continue the group's touring legacy with bassist Elwood Francis following the death of founding bassist Dusty Hill in 2021.
With more than 50 million albums sold, ZZ Top has sustained a career spanning over five decades. The 1983 album Eliminator helped bring the band to a wider audience, with enduring hits including “Gimme All Your Lovin',” “Sharp Dressed Man” and “Legs.” Other well-known songs include “La Grange,” “Tush” and “Cheap Sunglasses.” The group was inducted into the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2004.
The Dos Amigos Tour reflects the continuing partnership of Gibbons and Beard. ZZ Top Peace Concert Hall At The Peace Center - SC Concert reviews
Love Love Love Keith Urban
At the end of the show, while other performers would be running back stage to get out, ZZ Top stayed to spend time with his fans and sign anything they gave him. He is so upbeat and personable. I truly loved this concert. The way he brought this young autistic girl onstage to sing with him. Then he signed and gave away his guitar. I can't say enough about this concert. These people should be shut down. I, however, will never park at the I Park next door. Sign outside says parking $45.30 and then when they get your car they try and tell you it is $80.00. Horrible. ZZ Top puts on an amazing show.
